i had the same problem on my 106, on the 106 it was a relay on the fan, its about 2cm² and black from what i can remember. 😀
and if you go back to metal make use you use etching primer.
you should only need 2 rub 360 grits over it, then use a cellulose primer, for blending use t-cut over the whole area (this will also remove any oils)...
