The way forward 2012 :) Gents/ Vicki- for your reading pleasure, and for reference! This is what I think we need to be doing over the next 12 months. Feel free to disagree! Going forward: Outline plan 1. Protect existing members and group leaders interests: web access – discounts / benefits. We still need progress on this – Discount directory update would be good if we can get someone to do it 2. Promote merchandise: Christmas and anniversary / shop. Its that time of year- need to do this ASAP 3. Event planning: build and publish calendar for 2011- teams for events and plans for them – Now 2012.Suggest we look around for interested parties from this year. We have had a few – Vicki to lead. 4. Build infrastructure – website updates. Reliable system and communication between web and membership. Group leader support. Website updates need to be more regular – and not just me doing them! How do we move on? Newsletters ongoing (with limited success) perhaps we need more competitions or other incentives? Group leader support set up with Stu but with limited success. Who knows what the answer is to this ! 5. Promote and recruit: strategy for recruitment in 2011. – 800 paid members by November 2011. 450 to get in the next 8 weeks !!! how can we achieve this? 6. Generate additional income other than subscriptions. See below 7. Good working relationship between all committee. Ensure web access levels are set correctly for all members and officials Seems to need constant policing. We need to ensure everything is set up correctly for minimum intervention. 2. Update discount directory and publish. To do !! 3. Ensure Torque remains regular and of good quality – Quality good. Needs closer attention to timings 4. Set up discount code for shop purchases for members –is it possible? Promote merchandise: Christmas and new logo in shop. To do 1. Produce order form / flyer for torque. To Do 2. Finalise new logo range and advertise. Logo sorted. Need to do pics for product range 3. Ensure all products are generating at least 25% profit for club. To confirm with ‘new’ clothing range. Gather information from local groups that plan to visit local events to do 3. Compile list of items that must be taken to the events above (2 tier?) did we ever do this? 4. Further develop possible motorsport events for members. Not sure this is possible with our current manning levels – track days need to be organised 5. Plan transfer of items between events. Dependant on confirmation of calendar 6. Look at possible revenue or other support for events. Possible sponsorship by Peugeot / PFC magazine / insurance co. Build infrastructure – website updates. Database downloads to excel required to simplify tasks. Model registers need to be expanded on the back of the 306Rallye register database. 2. Look at access levels and develop a system to allow additional lnput from members. Possible but needs tutorial / access set 3. Build a system that ensures interface between online members and membership database is as robust as possible. Excel downloads I think? 4. Increase involvement of group leaders (two way support) Attempted but need to keep this ticking over. It may just need regular emails sending out as a way of keeping them involved. Develop strategy for recruiting substantial numbers in the next 12 months. Where do they come from, what do we offer, targeted audience. Peugeot alliance improved but not reaping benefit at present. RCZ forums set up robbing us of potential new members. We must get our own ‘rcz club’ domains up and running and attempt to get our few RCZ owners supporting the club. The 208 is released in 2012 and we need to be prime movers and ready for its arrival. 2. Ensure current members assist in the strategy, and remain with the club Membership pack needs to be improved. Tee shirt, stickers, tax disc holder as suggestions. What do we need / can we afford “800 paid up members at the moment seems optimistic, we definitely need a separate plan all together to get that on track. Do we advertise in any classic car mags? If we had a marketing person, they could have signed up to loads of forums that are classic/retro car related and promoted the club that way. Perfor...
