Start time - 21.01
Attendees - Stu, Jon, Mark, Rich, Rab
1. Limits in paddock and use of orchard
Discussion on limiting numbers per club due to size of attendance of 406 Coupe and 205 Drivers in 2012.
Provisionally agreed to 25 car limit (to be discussed further at a later date)
Stuart mentioned that no price had been obtained as yet for the field opposite, therefore no decision could be made as to whether we would use it. Some discussion in relation to using the orchard for the the show, concerns about no hill climb access from this side raised, descision will be made when there is a better idea on numbers attending.
Stu asked if the CAD map could be cleared of last years layout so we can start filling in spaces as and when clubs/traders are confirmed, and this could also be sent out to group leaders.
Rab said about naming the fields (paddock and orchard) in such a way as they appear equal in stature to the show.
2. Use of field opposite for camping
Stu has asked Ian for a price for camping with the required toilets so we have a price. But general concensus was it would probably just be for parking.
3. Invited clubs
Rich is starting to contact clubs mentioned in the relevant Pugfest planning thread including some contacts he made at the NEC.
Stu asked Rich to ask Club Peugeot also.
Therefore it was decided that over the next couple of weeks, Rich will register in PSCUK's name on forums and begin inviting the clubs. He will forward the login details to Stu so we all have access if needed. Stu will write to the clubs and provide Rich's details as contact.
4.Traders
Mark was asked how many traders he thought should be invited, as many as possible being his response. Stu will provide Mark with a letter from him inviting traders with Marks details to go on as contact for the club.
Rich mentioned that MDV Detailing and Valeting, and Andy Larton may be interested. Also that local Peugeot dealer (local to Prescott) Rob Cotterill wanted to attend. Mark said he will contact him.
Rab said he will contact his link (Derek) to make sure theres no overlap with the above.
5. Interesting cars
Stu mentioned Dave Kenwood/Kedward(?) has offered to attend with 6-7 Group B rally cars (his and associated friends cars). Assorted makes but agreed that it would be an interesting exhibit. Stu to invite. Carl Chambers to be invited, but a clash with his racing was mentioned.
6. Invite letters
Mark will email them to Stu from dropbox.
7. Evening Entertainment
Stu asked for ideas for entertainment, tug of war was mentioned but needs good organisation. Stu asked for more ideas in time for the next call.
Rab said he can get a marquee, large, big enough for three cars with doors open, it was agreed that was a good idea, then using it to create a community atmosphere around it in the camping field.
8. Family events
Stu expressed his wish to turn Pugfest into a more family friendly event to push attendance numbers up as the years progress. More ideas needed as how to do this.
9. AOB
Mark suggested trying to get a look at Prescott when its empty to visualise the space better to aid organisation and it was agreed that we would try to do that around February/March time. Stu will speak to Ian about arranging this.
Stu updated on the driving light protectors, they are 2-3 weeks off being ready as they are currently off for screen printing. Stu intends to use this time to build up interest through Facebook.
The importance of Facebook was mentioned due to the enourmous increase in traffic after the NEC.
Mark said he will clear Pugfest CAD map ASAP.
Stu to arrange another Pugfest meeting for around 15th January.
