Carl Chambers has kindly pulled an itinerary together for this. The Peugeot museum and factory visit have to be booked and paid for 2 months in advance, as would the minibus to take us around the tour. Long sleeves must be worn in the factory tour as well as closed shoes and no high heals, its also a 1km walk around the factory so people need to be aware of this. There is no cameras or phones to be used during the visit! Wednesday 1st October. -------------------------------- Optional hotel stay Wednesday night at Premier Inn Folkestone. saver rate £39.00 flexible rate £63.00 Thursday 2nd October ------------------------------ 8.30am Euro Tunnel to Calais £49.00 short stay saver. Drive to Reims via non toll roads where possible. Stop for lunch in Reims as there is many places to eat, Mcdonalds and KFC plus many others are close by and then stop at the old Reims race circuit for some photos. Drive down to Mulhouse again on as many non toll roads or motorways as possible and maybe driving over the Grand Ballon if time allows. Staying at Campanile Mulhouse Nord Illzach Ile Napoleon 55.00 Euros fixed rate 58.50 Euros Semi flexible rate 61.67 Euros flexible rate. Friday 3rd October ------------------------- Visit L'adventure Peugeot (museum) in the morning followed by a factory visit in the afternoon. Combined factory/museum visit cost is 16.00 per person We have to hire a mini bus for the factory tour as its a 260 hectares site! The bus will cost 200 euros, so if 10 people book that's 20.00 euros each. We can have a meal at lunch time in our own room at the museum but everyone would have to have the same meal or we can just have a meal in the museum restaurant and just pick our own meals from the menu. Friday night stay again at the Campanile Mulhouse. 55.00 Euros fixed rate 58.50 Euros Semi flexible rate 61.67 Euros flexible rate. Saturday 4th October ---------------------------- Free to either visit Schlumpf museum in Mulhouse at 14.50 euros each or to go off and watch some WRC France which is on the same weekend, in and around Mulhouse. or just go off for some shopping or sight seeing as there is a big shopping centre and some nice roads around the area. Saturday night again at Campanile Mulhouse 55.00 Euros fixed rate 58.50 Euros Semi flexible rate 61.67 Euros flexible rate. Sunday 5th October -------------------------- Travel home, either back roads again or main roads depending on how soon people want to get back to the UK Return trip Euro tunnel is £49.00 from midday onwards so you can get back to Calais as early or late as you want. Optional hotel Sunday night again in Folkestone premier Saver rate £29.00 flexible rate £62.00 All prices correct at time of writing and could be subject to change nearer the time. All hotels have rooms available as well but this will change and with WRC France being on they could get booked up quickly. RAC European breakdown cover is strongly advised, this is around £80.00 for cars over 10 years old but with a PSCUK members discount (for just £20 per year!) this comes down to around £40.00 so make sure you quote this when taking out cover!
