The 26th Basingstoke Festival of Transport will be held at the War Memorial Park, Basingstoke, Hampshire, on 14 May 2017. This is billed as a "Transport Show", rather than a classic vehicle show, as it caters for owners of modern as well as the older cars, when displayed within the owners clubs stands. There are over 30 car clubs in attendance each year, most of the classic variety, but not exclusively. There are literally hundreds of privately entered vehicles, which apart from cars, includes buses, World War Two military vehicles, lorries, tank transporters (built by Thornycroft in Basingstoke) and a variety of working stationary engines. Numerous trade stalls abound, motoring and non-motoring alike, so there is something to see and do for all the family. The show is free to enter for participating vehicles, and this equally applies to the stand reserved for us in PSCUK. Entry is however restricted to pre-booked entry passes (sent in advance), so anyone turning up on the day and expecting to get in without a pass will be asked to park in the public car park - at their expense! This has been a great show in previous years, helped usually by good weather. We are looking to have between 10 and 20 cars maximum on the Club stand. There is an "official" closing date of 01 April 2017, so entries will be on a first come, first served basis.
